Transportation
Maisemore is situated 3 miles from Gloucester City Centre so you'll need to access the venue by car. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the venue. Guests are able to leave their cars overnight so long as they are gone before 17:00 the following day.
Andycars are a good local taxi service, with card machines onboard. You can also book ahead using their app. Please note that the venue is in a rural village and so to comply with the venue's regulations, it is essential that all guests pre-book their taxis well in advance so that they are offsite by 12.00am.
The Venue
The venue is primarily outdoors on a grassy lawn. Even in August, rain is never an impossibility. Whilst there will be plenty of dry space under the marquee, we ask that you consider footwear carefully so that you are comfortable and ready to dance in the evening!
Accommodation
Depending on guest interest, we are considering hiring furnished bell tents to be made available onsite in the venue's camping area.
Bell tents are available for 3 nights and cost £210 for two guests. Each tent sleeps up to six and so additional guests can stay for £5 extra. Guests are welcome at the site from Friday evening through to Monday morning so if you would be interested in staying with us over the weekend, then be sure to let us know in the RSVP!
A bell tent with plug sockets can be provided for getting ready or freshening up. Showers are also available on-site for an additional cost.
Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own tent if you wish to camp on-site or there are a variety of budget hotels in Gloucester including a Premier Inn, Holiday Inn and a Travelodge. The venue website also lists plenty of Airbnb options nearby.
Food
The important part! Food will be available throughout the day. Following the ceremony, there will be a vegetarian picnic buffet, followed by a visit from an ice cream trike. In the evening, there will be plenty of woodfired pizza, garlic bread and salads made available. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies when you RSVP so we can factor this in for catering.
Drink
Welcome drinks will be provided after the ceremony. Following this, a card only bar will be open, stocked with a range of drinks to keep everyone happy!
